These are the classic Italian terracotta pots. We offer two lines of handmade rolled rim terra cotta planters: our Artisan Rolled Rims and our Molded Rolled Rims. Our Artisan Rolled Rim terracotta planters are made completely freehand, without the use of molds, using the “coil method.” The process is highly time consuming and requires an extraordinary amount of skill that only a very few artisans possess. Our Molded Rolled Rim terracotta pots are made by hand in molds and are hand finished. Both are handmade, frostproof and very beautiful. However, since our Molded Rolled Rim terra cotta planters take somewhat less time and skill to produce, we can offer them at more economical prices.
