Mara and Lenore are opening their gardens this year for the Garden Conservancy’s Open Days program. The two gardens, both designed by Richard Hartlage of AHBL, could not be more different, but both are filled with great terra cotta pots. Of course, all proceeds go to the Garden Conservancy and its very important work preserving American Gardens.

This daylong event, chaired by interior designer and author, Charlotte Moss, and co-chaired by Mac Hoak of Mecox Gardens, will feature games for children in the morning and garden lectures by noted garden authors, Paige Dickey and Stephen Orr.

In the afternoon there will be dozens of premium vendors, including Seibert & Rice, selling their top quality plants, garden antiques, outdoor furniture, planters and urns, garden tools and other fine garden accessories. The event will wind down with a cocktail party in the garden, a book signing, and a silent auction comprising an array of fine treasures.
