Project Information

The Cloisters museum and gardens, the branch of the Metropolitan Museum of Art devoted to the art and architecture of medieval Europe, is a gem on the northern tip of Manhattan. The cloistered Medieval Gardens are planted according to horticultural information found in medieval treatises, poetry, and other sources. Herbs, medicinal plants and topiary are planted in Seibert & Rice Rolled Rim Planters in the three walled gardens.
